What’s the difference between one type of artificial grass and another?

We typically think of artificial grass as the type we see on 5-a-side football pitches – something that might be a bit out of place in the typical residential garden (unless you want to build a football pitch in your garden, that is!) However, GRASSify artificial grass has a grass type that suits you and your living space, without turning it into Wembley Stadium.

Our typical residential grass types are super lifelike, mimicking real grass perfectly, but without the mud, mess and sharp thistles. Our sports ranges are less bulky, allowing for minimum restriction and maximum grip when used in a sports environment.

What’s a pile height?

Pile height is the same thing as the pile height of a carpet. In fact, artificial grass is actually made similarly to carpet! But to put it simply, it just means how long the grass is. If you’re looking for luxuriously soft grass, you might want to pick a grass type with a larger pile height, creating a light cushion under the feet. If you want something more solid, perhaps go for a shorter pile height.

Ok but now I need to know what a geotextile membrane is…

Unfortunately, it’s not half as fancy as it sounds. A geotextile membrane is a large sheet that’s laid underneath your artificial grass, preventing weeds from rooting in and growing through the artificial grass. It’s also permeable, allowing for any water to drain right through with ease. Cool, huh?

Can I get different shades of artificial turf?
