How to take care of your artificial grass

So you’ve got your brand new artificial grass installed, the kids can play outside all day, the dogs won’t bring mud inside and you’re loving spending more time in the garden. But as time passes, you might be wondering ‘how do I take care of artificial grass?’ Well, we’re here to help.

The beauty of artificial grass is that it’s super low maintenance, but, that doesn’t mean no maintenance! It’s important to give your artificial grass a little TLC every so often to keep it looking as luscious as the day it was installed. You might be able to forgo the mowing and watering, but a little extra care will go a long way with your new lawn.

Let’s have a look at some of the steps you can take to keep your artificial lawn looking stunning all year round.

Take advantage of GRASSify’s maintenance plans

A good brush

Brushing can help keep the pile upright and looking great, as well as getting rid of any debris like leaves, dog hair and other general dirt and dust. Not sure what type of brush to use? We sell our very own GRASSify Rubber Brooms for just £19 on our online shop. Simply run the brush up the full length of the GRASSified area until the debris has been cleared and the grass is back upright! Once a month is all it takes, but you can do this more frequently if you feel like it.

Freshen up with our Pet Enzyme Cleaner

Whilst ‘washing’ your grass isn’t necessary, if you have pets, you may want to occasionally have a clean up with our very own Pet Enzyme Cleaner. Our specially formulated mix will remove any pet urine smells, leaving your grass fresh and odour-free! At just £12 per bottle, it’s a great addition to any artificial grass cleaning regime.

Rinse any spills or mess

Our artificial grass will drain away any pet urine, just like it does with rainwater, but if you would like to completely eliminate it, a short rinse is great! Pet mess doesn’t affect artificial grass in any way and is completely safe for them. You will, of course, still have to make use of doggy bags to clean up some other mess, but a quick rinse with the hose after picking it up and you’ll good to go!
