Here at GRASSify, we use a Non-Woven Geotextile Membrane for artificial grass, for maximum protection against weeds on your lawn.
This is a synthetic layer of fabric that is installed during the installation process and is ideal for use in drainage, filtration, separation, reinforcement and more. This membrane for artificial grass allows rainwater to flow at a rate of up to 120 litres per SQM per minute, making it an excellent choice for all artificial grass bases. It’s important to use the right geotextile membrane when installing artificial grass, especially one that allows the water through but keeps those pesky weeds at bay.
It’s also ultra-durable and fully tested to ensure that weeds and worms are kept at bay, and the drainage holes in the artificial grass are kept clear and free of debris, to allow for optimal drainage.
A good membrane will ensure that your grass is protected against the hardiest of weeds. However, if you have Japanese knotweed or bamboo in your garden, it would be good to know as they are known to be destructive.
